narcotics division

The Narcotics Division is responsible for answering each and all complaints from the public and attempting to verify and follow through with investigations of illegal drug activities as listed in the North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 90

Narcotics officers are responsible for coordinating drug investigations between the Sheriff's Office and other agencies within the county, as well as operating with other county narcotic agencies.

The Narcotics Division is responsible with assisting the Patrol Division with ongoing drug investigations in the county and drafting and executing drug search warrants.

The Narcotics Division closely operates with the NC Highway Patrol and NC National Guard  for eradication efforts during Marijuana season.

The Narcotics division also carries out the DARE program along with Drug Education efforts targeting the youth or our county.
