Our office staff consists of an Office Manager and seven secretaries.  One vital role the staff has in common is interfacing with the public.  The staff also fills out applications for people requesting handgun permits and concealed weapon permits (over 1,500 a year).  They also receive and direct incoming telephone calls.  Several members of our office staff are trained to operate the computer system connected to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), which operates nation-wide to locate missing and wanted persons, stolen vehicles, stolen guns, stolen license tags, etc.  This system also is used to enter domestic violence offenders and sex offenders.

The office staff is further broken down into three divisions:  the warrant division, which receives and processes approximately 3500 criminal warrants and summons each year; the civil division, which receives and processes approximately 21,200 civil processes and subpoenas each year; and the records division, which enters approximately 250 - 300 incident reports each month .  In addition, records are also maintained for stolen vehicles, stolen guns, concealed weapons, sex offenders, and domestic violence.  Help is also given in the processing of over 850 domestic violence orders that come in each year.
